It’s Conference Season!
As Summer winds down and lazy day trips to the beach are fading into nostalgic memories, a new season is upon us. Yes, it’s Autumn, but it’s also Conference Season! Mid-September through the first part of November is one of the busiest times of year for the BrightWire team. Each year we invest a significant amount of travel time and energy attending IT industry conferences for several important reasons.
Gordon and Micah recently attended an IT Security conference for industry updates on the latest Cybersecurity threats our clients face and to learn about the most current countermeasures we can employ to protect against the bad guys and keep our clients safe.
“The Panel of Titans”
Another recent conference was sponsored by a key BrightWire vendor, a rapidly growing company named IT Glue, which provides an industry leading platform BrightWire uses to document our client IT environments. It was truly a World Class event and they even managed to assemble a “Panel of Titans” to discuss how our industry is quickly changing with the advent of Cloud Technologies and what exactly they foresee these changes and opportunities mean for companies like BrightWire and more importantly for our clients.
Finally, closer to home our management team attended a regional conference to learn best practices around running a more efficient company. The range of topics included building a strong company culture and how this effort pays dividends not only for BrightWire, but also for our team, our clients and the larger community. Creating a positive workplace is good for everyone and ultimately helps create better services clients and meaningful careers for our team.

Conference Season isn’t over just yet, in October we have a technology trade show in Bellevue, a business management meeting in Cleveland, and a National IT conference IT conference in Orlando in November. By then we’ll be looking forward to a quite Thanksgiving and a Merry Christmas!
